Brazil and China are two of the world’s largest emerging economies and their relationship is expanding at a fast pace. Ambassador Hugueney will describe how Brasilia and Beijing are strengthening their political dialogue and discuss the forces that have propelled trade and investment between the countries to record levels.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Clodoaldo Hugueney has served as Brazil’s Ambassador to China since September 2008. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1943, Ambassador Hugueney studied Law at the Catholic Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro and graduated from the University of Chile with a degree in economics. He is a specialist on international trade issues. Before coming to Beijing, he served from 2005 to 2008 as the Brazilian representative to the UN and the WTO in Geneva.
