As is known to all, there will be important political changes taking place in China this autumn. By way of preparation, the leadership of the FCCC has decided to arrange a discreet and informal gathering at the water’s edge. It will be a chance for the journalistic elite to enjoy a bit of sun, fun and swimming while they work through the complexity of it all. And, since all of the really good villas at Beidaihe are fully booked, they have decided to do it at the swimming pool on the grounds of the Polish Embassy. That’s right friends – it’s time for the Annual FCCC Summer Party!
Mark your calendars now. Saturday, September 1st, 3-7pm. Under the banner of Inclusive Fun With Journalistic Characteristics, your FCCC leaders have taken many correct decisions and tended to the needs of all.
For kids we will have not just one, but TWO bouncy castles. And not just two, but THREE kindergarten teachers to keep the wee ones entertained. There will be a scrumptious BBQ, catered by the good folk at Schindler’s, featuring not just abundant supplies of sausages and meats but also salads and desserts, soft drinks and coffee. For the tipplers among us, there will be plenty of beer and wine. And for the teetotalers, there will be discounted ticket prices.
